Luciana Moore is an undergraduate senior at UCLA, working diligently to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Music industry by June 2023. As a pre-law student and one of the firm’s Administrative Assistants, Luciana understands the significance of nurturing solid foundations. It’s her goal to make sure all the small tick boxes are checked in order to facilitate productive and lasting relationships between clients and the attorneys at Milord Law Group.
Growing up in Bucharest, Geneva, and Washington, DC., Luciana’s multicultural background fuels her love of cultural movements and inspires her to practice kindness in all facets of life. While Romanian was Luciana’s first language, she is now fluent in French and English and is currently watching La Chicas del Cable and La Casa de Papel in hopes of adding Spanish to the list soon!
Since moving to Los Angeles, Luciana has gained experience in music journalism and experiential marketing. At UCLA, her classes center around entertainment & media law, negotiation/persuasive communication, and the ethics/policy issues of mass communication institutions. Luciana’s schoolwork and professional experiences fuel her desire to help safeguard original expression, ideas, and brands: and guided her decision to join the Milord Law Group team. While she leaves the heavy lifting to the attorneys, her priority is making sure that all of the firm’s clients know how valued they are and how important their intellectual property is.
Luciana is an avid music fan is inspired by art in all forms. She has enjoyed working on artist development/marketing campaigns and there is no way she’ll miss an opportunity to share how she feels about a new song release or the cultural impact of an artist/album. Her favorite song is “Beauty in the Dark,” an early 2000s soul-funk R&B remix by the Isley Brothers, featuring Mos Def. Some of her favorite artists include Ms. Lauryn Hill, Joey Bada$$, Mac Miller, UGK, SiR, Erykah Badu, and Amy Winehouse.
Luciana resonates with the Stevie Wonder lyric: “Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand.” However, she’s mindful that the law is not as intuitive a language, driving her to do what she can to support creative contributors of science, art, and culture navigate the legal field. In the long term, Luciana hopes to protect the integrity of intellectual and artistic processes and ensure creatives and inventors are fully compensated for their labor.
Outside of her professional interests, Luciana loves spending time with both chosen and immediate family. Her belief that all humans are storytellers fuels her passion for history and knowledge acquisition. On Tuesday nights, she attends a weekly trivia night and enjoys visiting museums and going on historic hikes to learn more about Southern California—any recommendations are welcome! On weekends you can find her at a concert, playing soccer and basketball with her friends, or thrifting oversized jackets that she probably doesn’t need. If you pass Luciana the TV remote, you will likely end up binging a satirical sitcom like 30 Rock or Curb Your Enthusiasm or watching a historical drama series like The Get Down or Hollywood.
