Kirstin Jensvold-Rumage, Esq.

Kirstin found her passion for intellectual property from growing up in an artistic family. Kirstin's professional and personal interests have always kept her connected with her creative side. As an intellectual property lawyer, Kirstin blends her natural inclination as a zealous advocate with protecting her clients' entrepreneurship and innovative expression.

In both her academic and professional life, Kirstin has always focused on honing her writing skills. These skills garnered her awards as a law student at the University of San Diego School of Law, including a 1st place Appellate Brief at the Paul A. McLennon, Sr., Honors Moot Court Tournament, and a 1st place paper for the American Constitution Society, San Diego Chapter, Student Writing Competition. As a law clerk, her work on a criminal appellate brief for a California Appellate Project attorney saved her client over 50 years in state prison. Now as an intellectual property attorney, Kirstin's greatest joys are finding a perfect nugget of case law to prove her clients' argument or whipping up a debilitating letter to opposing counsel. Her outstanding legal writing skills prove beneficial for intellectual property cases in federal court where the courts rarely allow oral argument.

Before Kirstin was a lawyer, she was a community activist, and still enjoys staying engaged with social organizations and local politics. In her free time, she usually can be found listening to true crime podcasts, drinking wine with friends, exploring Los Angeles by foot and bike, and seeking out the nearest hot tub.
